What’s the difference between loose rip rap and grouted rip rap?
Loose rip rap is rock placed without any binding material, relying on size and weight to stay in place. Grouted rip rap is hand-placed and set with grout between the rocks, creating a more stable, permanent surface for higher-flow or higher-traffic areas.
